ESTIMATES:

Our estimator, Mark, can assess what the approximate current life span of your roof is, and whether a repair or replacement roof makes the most sense from an economic and safety standpoint. There is no charge for this standard estimate regarding roof repair or replacement.

INSPECTIONS:

A professional roof inspection and evaluation can be a valuable tool during real estate negotiations, or for your own peace of mind. During an inspection, K2 Slate and Metal Works can inspect for incidental cuts, punctures, missing slate or shingles, or other compromises to the roof system that could lead to potential damage or is causing problems currently. The evaluation will include the entire roof system, including vents, pipes, and flashing’s. You will then receive a written report detailing the remaining roof service life, estimates for necessary repairs and maintenance, and/or a complete new roofing system. There is a modest fee for this, depending on the size of the home, and other factors such as analyzing existing roof problems.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR:

For roofs needing immediate repair, K2 Slate and Metal Works is at your service. We can generally get to an urgent problem within 24 hours or sooner. If you own a home with a Slate Roof, we highly recommend you protect your investment with an annual inspection/repair/maintenance service. This can help avoid costly problems and keep your slate roof in top shape. Let us know if you would like to be put on our annual schedule.

GUTTER CLEANING/LEAF AND DEBRIS REMOVAL:

As part of a general roof maintenance plan, K2 Slate and Metal Works recommends twice yearly cleaning of gutters for optimal performance. Gutters free of debris are able to effectively carry water away from the structure. Speak with our representatives about gutter screens and other filter options. Additionally, pooling water and trapped moisture from debris encourages moss growth and breakdown of shingles that can damage roofing systems. Leaf and debris removal as part of general roof maintenance is essential for roofs to effectively shed water and extends the service life of your roofing system.
